Professional: Jeremy Frazier has experience within various levels of government. While he has served at the state and local level, his passion remains within the level closest to that of the citizens, the local level. However, he began his career as Carl Albert Executive Fellow within one of the largest state agencies in Oklahoma: The Oklahoma Health Care Authority. As a Carl Albert Executive Fellow and then as a Research Analyst/Budget Coordinator he was afforded the opportunity to serve those citizens who are often times Oklahoma’s most vulnerable populations, the elderly and those with long-term illnesses and disabilities, transition from assisted living facilities back into their homes in the community. As a Retirement Plan Administrator to the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund, a premier municipal trusts serving over 200 cities and towns throughout Oklahoma and which includes assets valued at nearly $800 million dollars, he provided investment education to various municipalities and administrators, not to mention thousands of municipal employees regarding their retirement benefits and options. Prior to joining the City of Cushing as its new Assistant City Manager Jeremy served as the Assistant City Manager of the City of Newkirk. In this capacity he was responsible for various aspects of the budget, policy, strategic planning, community events, city projects, and other programs throughout the community.
Jeremy earned a Bachelor of Communication degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Political Science-Public Administration degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. He currently serves on the Master of Public Administration Advisory Committee where he assists the University in shaping its future MPA program. In 2015 he was appointed by the Governor of Oklahoma to serve on the Board of Trustees of the University Center at Ponca City. He has completed the New Officials Institute training, is a Past Executive Fellow of the Carl Albert Public Internship Program, a member of the Oklahoma Municipal League’s (OML) 2016 Community Leadership Development training class, and a member of the City Management Association of Oklahoma (CMAO), where he was the organizations first recipient of the CMAO Annual Scholarship Award. He also currently serves as a board member of the CMAO organization. He is also a past member of the International City Managers Association (ICMA).
Personal: Jeremy, a native of Oklahoma, currently resides in Cushing, OK with his wife Rebecca, their son Mason, and their dog Bailey.
